9 Months Old and Sod

Zoë Isabella is 9 months old. We went to see Dr. Garcia on Friday and she weighs 19 pounds 8 ounces (75th percentile) and she is 30 inches long (99th percentile). She is healthy and a very happy baby girl entering her early toddler years. She played pat a cake with Dr. Garcia and showed off her bear crawl trying to get her tools. Last night Zoë entertained herself in front of our stainless steel dishwasher for about 15 minutes. I guess since it's finally clean, thanks to Tabitha, she thought it was a mirror on the floor just for her! We spent the weekend with my wonderful family, but it was definately a full house. Everyone entertained Zoë while Genia, Dan, and I layed 8 palets of sod! Genia and I had to take a day off of work to get it finished before the rain comes Wed - Sat. Here's a pic of part of the yard we sodded. I will take and post before and after yard pics soon when we finish.

All over the house...

Zoë has now conquered the entire house. She goes where she wants, when she wants! Mostly she is content to be right behind me pulling up using my pants legs. She will crawl behind me saying mamamamamamama...over and over again. We had a nice relaxing weekend at home with a lazy day on Saturday and a day of shopping on Sunday. Next weekend it's back to the grindstone in the yard, trying to get it finished for summer. Hopefully we will get settled in the yard before too long with a nice swingset to boot. Our new fence goes up next week and new pool liner the first week of April!

March 9, 2009 - Shaky but standing

Zoë pulled up for the first time tonight while I was hanging clothes in her closet! I turned around and she was standing. I was in shock! She just started crawling on Friday! Here is a video I captured while she was playing!

Great Grandparents

Zoë is a very blessed baby girl. She has now had the opportunity to meet and have her picture taken with each of her great grandparents. I am also blessed to say that all of my grandparents are living and my baby girl has now met all four wonderful people.

A fun filled weekend

Our weekend started early. My dad came and stole our baby girl on Thursday. Let me tell you how bad my heart hurt. We went out to eat and had a drink, boy did I feel guilty! We had a nice time, but I would much rather had been home. Friday, the bad weather came and I was afraid we wouldn't make it to Gadsden, but we found the perfect window to drive although we did go through some heavy rain, we missed the severe weather. Zoë had such a good time with her Bee Bee, Gramme, Uncle Dan and Aunt Haleigh. She was spoiled rotten. They had such a good time with her and she with them. Saturday it rained all day, so no sun on the river and we woke to snow on Sunday morning. Too bad it wasn't enough for a snow day on Monday!

Zoë is busy feeding herself these days and refuses to eat most anything from a spoon! So we have had to be creative in table food so she will eat! MISS INDEPENDENT! She rarely misses her mouth unless she is using her left hand and her pincer grasp has improved dramatically in the past week! She is finally able to get the cup to her mouth and a bottle as well, she's just too lazy to hold it! That's okay, she's only a baby once! We bought her a little bug car (that's what we call it) for Bee Bee and Gramme's house. Bee Bee and Zoë love to go on strolls. Zoë loved her car as you can see in the pic below!
